Pineapple Panna

Seasonal fruits are best when eaten as they are. But sometimes you need to do a lil' makeover, create some magic in your kitchen especially when you have to deal with fussy kids like mine. I always have to discover interesting ways to sneak in fruits into my kid's diet, be it a smoothie, shikanjee or a dessert made with fresh fruit. As pineapples are in season I just can't stop myself from buying one whenever I happen to cross a fruit shop.

The bright golden hue of this tropical fruit, it's wonderful aroma and the combination of sweet & sharp taste is a delightful treat in itself to the senses. A breeze to make, this unadorned healthy drink is certainly going to stimulate all your senses. So let's enjoy a tropical tangy drink, which is not only packed with nutrients such Vitamin C, Thiamin, Manganese but is also a known source of Bromelain, an enzyme with anti-inflammatory properties. My recipe for this drink calls for honey as I am making it diet friendly, but you can go ahead and add sugar as per your choice.
