Ajwaini Fish Tikka :- Tender, boneless pieces of fish marinated with certain spices cooked in an oven or grilled to perfection. The spicy and pungent flavour infused by Ajwain (Carom Seeds) gives an extra kick to this dish. Serve sizzling hot fish tikka with green chutney as appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Boneless fish
  • 1/2 tsp Ajwain (carom seeds)
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Oil
  • 1 tbsp Splitpea flour/matar ka besan
  • 2 tbsp Hung Curd
  • 1/4 tsp Garam Masala/All spices
  • 3-4 Bamboo Skewer
  • 12-15 Onion Cubes
  • 12-15 Capsicum/Bell Paper Cubes
  • 12-15 Baby Tomatoes (Optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Marinate fish with all the spices and curd. Leave it for 30 mins
  • Arrange pieces of fish, onion cubes, capsicum cubes and baby tomatoes on a skewer. Cook in a grill pan or shallow fry it.
  • If cooking in an oven, preheat it to 400°F or 200°C first then cook tikkas for 15-20 mins.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce/chutney.
