
My first encounter with avocado in a restaurant in the States, was not as exceptional as I had expected. Somehow the bland taste of this Mexican fruit did not seem to appeal my taste buds, but later I realized that it’s a matter of that acquired taste which develops slowly with time. And then the numerous health benefit of this fruit also helped in building up its case.
Although I like my avocado best in salads & guacamole but Vedika somehow doesn’t seem to appreciate the chunky texture of guacamole. Instead she likes the sweet taste & smooth texture of avocado smoothie. So quite often for breakfast I make this smoothie for her.
Another smoothie/shake from my repertoire of SCD recipes. Ripe avocado, almond milk/any milk, honey and few drops of vanilla extract, all grinded to a smooth texture. And that’s all. You have taste and nutrition in a glass, ready in just 5 minutes.
