Festivals & desserts share a very special bond in which former is incomplete without the later. It’s a unique way of sharing our culture, love & joy with others. As Diwali (an Indian festival, now known and celebrated worldwide) is around the corner, I am here with another traditional sweet from Indian cuisine that is besan (chickpea flour) churma laddoo. Unlike regular besan laddoo where besan is roasted in ghee and then sugar is added to make laddoo, in this recipe we first make churma out of besan and then it is soaked in sugar syrup to make small ball-shaped laddoos. The soft, moist & grainy texture of this laddoo makes it unique.
