Hare Matar ki Dal

Certain delicacies are meant for winter like gajar ka halwa, gond ke laddu, etc. As winter is approaching and the market is flooded with green peas I thought of share one of our family recipe that is matar ki daal. It is also known as matar nimona in some parts of UP (Uttar Pradesh).
Although with the invention of canning and freezing of foods, green peas are available year round and not just in winter as it was before, however technological advancements can still not replace the taste of fresh fruit or veggies. Coming back to the recipe, I would say it is a dal made using veggie, isn't that interesting!! It goes well with rice, paratha or roti as well. Do give this different recipe a shot and let me know how it turns.
